An introduction

I am currently in my last year of uni studying textiles and surface design at ccad (Cleveland College of Art and Design). For my final major project I am focusing on surface design for interiors, specialising in hand printed wallpapers.

My concept is 'fragile industry'. I have been looking at the construction of new buildings ( mainly new student accomodations which seem to be continuously built around Newcastle) which replace and destroy the delicate natural habitats, along with the contrast of older buildings/ruins where nature fights back and grows back through brick walls.

I commute to uni five days a week by cycling into Newcastle then catching the train to hartlepool... Overall it is very tiring but worth it.

I have my own bay in a shared studio room at ccad where I can be creative, draw and paint ect but you will find me mostly in the print rooms experimenting and producing final designs... Screenprinting can be a long process and frustrating at times but the outcome is always beyond worth it.

Watch out for this space... I  will be keeping records or my mistakes, successes and exciting surface design processes, experimentations and show some sneak previews of my final designs.
